Hidden Automatic Navigator (HAN) from H + H Software now includes a direct link to EBSCO Discovery Service ™
EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) and H + H Software GmbH, the creator of the electronic resource management software Hidden Automatic Navigator (HAN), announce a new partnership providing enhanced services to mutual customers. The partnership will allow mutual customers of EBSCO Discovery Service ™ (EDS) and HAN software to access content securely and simply. Thanks to the new partnership, authorized library users will be able to access the library's online resources, including EDS, from any location, seamlessly and remotely. The integration partnership allows HAN to authenticate the user through the library system or Shibboleth regardless of location and provides access to articles. HAN uses its own proxy URL for each resource. Using the new HAN Web-API interface, proxy URLs can now be automatically loaded in the background, creating a simplified way for users to access content and reducing the library's administrative burden. The director of H + H Software GmbH Michael Etscheid says: "Connecting HAN with EBSCO Discovery Service is a great asset for the user. From now on, libraries can offer remote access to EDS content without any additional effort. It optimally combines the advantages of both systems. The statistical reports that can be created with HAN will help libraries to further improve the offer." The Head of Library Information Services for EBSCO in Europe and Latin America, Claus Wolf, says: "This development shows how quickly and flexibly EBSCO can react to customer needs with the help of library service engineers. We immensely appreciate the collaboration with H + H Software GmbH as we managed to drive the integration forward, enabling libraries to leverage the benefits of both services."
