***The concept of a new modern and above all digital library is very simple and at the same time very effective:***Authorization module FLAC is easy to integrate into existing infrastructure since it supports the standard authorization protocols LDAP and AD. In case of non-existence of authorization servers, the supply of an authorization system can also be provided. The authorization system can also be interconnected with an existing library system and thus ensure that FLAC services will be available to all institution workers or only library readers, etc. In case of interest, it is possible to use another existing authorization service of the institution after analysis. The advantage of this solution is that upon registering a new user in the authorization module, other services are made accessible for the user automatically under one name and password.
Publishing house and digital library module Given that digital as well as digitized objects are produced on the institution's grounds, the FLAC system supports both types of digital documents. All these documents are imported into the digital library module after processing. The fundamental functions of the digital library include: • advanced zooming of digital content, • searching in full text or metadata, • possibility of highlighting search results directly in the text, • possibility of online copying texts and images directly from digital documents, possibility of online translations using the Google Translate service • creating annotations and notes and sharing them • creating favorite collections Of course, there is support for delivering digital content to computers, notebooks as well as tablets (currently there is full implementation of iOS support, native Android OS support will also be added during 2014) Within this module there is also accessible a printing system that enables the printing of documents from the environment of the digital library (printed documents are provided with a watermark, bibliographical record, instruction on copyright as well as a QR code for navigation to the source document). Within the delivery of FLAC, we can also ensure comprehensive supply of digitalization equipment (manual and robotic scanners, digitalization workflow, OCR software) as well as print-binding devices. The digital library module utilizes the authorization services of the LDAP module.
eDesktop and Cloud module The eDesktop service enables every authorized library user to connect to their own user desktop regardless of the physical computer or notebook of the library, which they use for connection. The Cloud module enables the user to store their documents, lectures, scans, music, photographs, video, contacts and calendars onto a secure web storage of the institution, and subsequently access them either through the user desktop, internet browser, tablet or mobile phone. Content stored on the web storage can be shared among users. The service also supports connection of external storages such as Google Drive, Dropbox or others.
Print module The Print module gives users the opportunity to print from an arbitrary library computer or after installation of corresponding drivers even from their own computer from any place in the world. Printing will take place only upon placing the reader’s card against an arbitrary printing kiosk of the institution within 48 hours of sending the printing task. Payment for the printed task is automatically deducted from the user's electronic wallet, which is part of the printing system. Recharging the electronic wallet is possible by cash deposit or through a purchased recharge coupon.
