A fixed access point for electronic journals
Independent of the correct start-URL online resource, the request for an e-journal is always the same (permanent URL) and can be permanently stored in the OPAC system.
Access control via "Authentication and Authorization"
The HAN server can detect whether the corresponding user has the right to access the resource every time someone tries to access a HAN resource. The difference lies in authentication and authorization:
- Authentication means logging into the system. The system recognizes the user's identity and checks it.
- Authorization is the assignment of user rights, which corresponds to their identity.
HAN supports user authentication and allows the administrator to restrict or grant access to resources via authorization.
This can happen on two different levels:
